The Beatty Group is a family-owned consulting firm led by Willie J. Beatty Sr., Willie J. Beatty Jr., and Stephen Beatty. Leadership & Expertise
Willie J. Beatty, Sr. – Managing Partner A retired executive from The Dana Corporation (a Fortune 200 automotive manufacturer serving Ford, Chrysler, GM, and BMW), Willie brings over 40 years of executive leadership experience across manufacturing and more than 30 years in the public sector. He served for 23 years as a Housing Authority Commissioner in Statesville, North Carolina—20 of those as Chairman of the Board. His leadership helped transform a once-troubled housing authority into a HUD-recognized, high-performing organization, with measurable growth in resident self-sufficiency and community development programs. Today, Willie serves as the firm’s chief RAD strategist, guiding clients through comprehensive and mission-aligned conversion planning.
Willie J. Beatty, Jr. – General Partner With more than 25 years of experience in business development and organizational leadership, Will has worked extensively in both private and nonprofit consulting. He has played a key role in launching and supporting startups across sectors. At The Beatty Group, Will manages the RAD program conversion process, overseeing the transition from Section 9 public housing funding to Section 8 (PBRA or PBV). His work includes coordinating with HUD, legal counsel, lenders, and third-party service providers to ensure smooth, compliant, and effective conversions.
Stephen Beatty – General Partner Stephen brings over 20 years of experience in finance, operations, and business development, with a strong background in mortgage and capital finance. During the RAD conversion process, Stephen leads real estate development and financial strategy, providing detailed financial modeling and analysis to assess capacity and design appropriate capital structures. His work ensures that development objectives align with each client’s overall conversion and long-term sustainability goals.
